Training

Adults in Scouting receive ongoing training and support from their Area training team.

When an adult takes on a new role, the adult and their training adviser will draw up a personal learning plan (PLP), taking into account the adult's previous experience and training. The plan will detail the modules required for the individual's role.

The adult in Scouting must demonstrate their experiences / training to receive validation for all modules on their personal learning plan. Following the successful validation, a wood badge can be awarded.

The training continues after being awarded the wood badge with the ongoing learning programme.
