Youth programme
The sections
The Scouting family is made up of five sections: Beaver Scouts for children aged 6 to 8, Cub Scouts for boys and girls aged 8 to 10½, Scouts for youngsters aged 10½ to 14, Explorer Scouts for teenagers between 14 and 18, and the Scout Network for young adults aged 18 to 25.
Young Leaders
As part of the Explorer Scout programme, teenagers have the opportunity to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections. Training for this is provided through the Young Leaders programme. More...
Dragon camping award
Can you rise to the challenge? The dragon camping award is open to anyone of Scout age and above, including adults, from Wales and beyond. To gain the bronze award you need to camp out in each of the 12 months of the year, with further challenges for the silver and gold awards. More...
