Wales Explorer Scout Team and Forum

The Wales Explorer Scout Team is made up of the Assistant Area Commissioners (Explorer Scouts) of each of the Scout Areas of Wales and is chaired by the Commissioner for Explorer Scouts (Wales).

The function of the Team, in conjunction with the Wales Explorer Scout Forum, is to support the development of Explorer Scouts in Wales.

The Team meets twice a year, in the autumn and spring.

What is the Wales Explorer Scout Forum?

It's a meeting for Explorer Scouts held twice every year, in the autumn and the spring, normally in a school in Llandrindod Wells. We go there and discuss important issues about Explorer Scouting in Wales these can range from uniform and image to whether or not we want to have a giant great big camp and invite everybody.

How can I go and why would I want to?

Every Area in Wales can send two Explorer Scouts to the meeting. All you need is a lift to Llandrindod Wells. But don't worry, there are lots of Leaders who go to meetings at the same time, I feel sure that you can get a lift. As for why you want to go, it's not just because you care about Explorer Scouting in Wales and what happens to it (as I feel sure you do) but because you get a free lunch!

Is it all boring talking?

Far from it, unlike some of the other meetings which pretend to be funny ours actually is. We have many ongoing jokes in the forum and everything is done with a relaxed attitude.
